The city of Brive
and it's golf course Planchetorte will host the 16th edition of the World University Golf Championship, from 23rd June to 26th June 2016.
The historically close relationship between the International University Sports Federation, the French University Sports Federation and the City of Brive (WUC rowing organization in 2004 and rugby 7 WUC in 2012) continues today with the organisation of the World Golf Championship on the site of Planchetorte.
Planchetorte has many assets, due to work done over the past two years to the lengthening of the course (6040 m, par 72), and, also, redrawing it with the creation of several new holes, a 1.2 hectares pond and a reshape of all greens, fairways and departures.
With the support of the Limousin Region and the Department of Corrèze, the Local Organising Committee and the students of the University of Limoges will do their utmost to honour you with the best of conditions. In this context, hotels will be selected in the same area of the city of Brive and catering will be carried out on the competition site, contributing to the spirit of unity, exchange and sharing, which are fundamental values to us at Planchetorte.
